These terms govern your use of Passifly. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please read them carefully, especially the sections on academic content and payments.

1 Acceptance of these terms

By creating a Passifly account or using the app in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree to these terms, please don't use Passifly.

2 What Passifly is

Passifly is a study and practice app for Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) students preparing for their First Professional Examination and related school assessments. It offers free practice questions, timed mock examinations, and unit-specific practice, along with tools to track your progress over time.

Passifly is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), or any university or college of health.

3 Eligibility and your account

You must provide accurate information when creating your account, including your name, school, and academic level. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

4 Payments and purchases

Some content, including Mock Examinations and Pre-Exam by Unit practice, requires payment to unlock. Payments are processed securely through Paystack. Prices are shown in the app before you pay.

4.1 Refunds

Because purchases unlock digital content immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable once access has been granted. If you experience a technical issue that prevented you from accessing content you paid for, contact us and we'll make it right.

4.2 Failed or incomplete payments

If a payment is interrupted or fails to complete, no purchase has been made and you won't be charged for content you didn't receive access to. The app will attempt to recognize and resolve pending payments automatically the next time you open it.

5 Academic content disclaimer

Passifly's practice questions are developed from publicly available and institutionally accredited course curricula for Medical Laboratory Science, and reviewed for accuracy by a subject-matter contributor with a background in the field.

Important: Passifly does not guarantee that its questions match the exact content, format, or difficulty of your actual First Professional Examination, and using Passifly does not guarantee that you will pass your examination. Passifly is a study aid meant to support, not replace, your official coursework, lecturers, and institutional exam preparation.

If you notice a question or answer that appears incorrect, please flag it in the app or contact us. We take content accuracy seriously and review reports promptly.

6 Acceptable use

When using Passifly, you agree not to:

  • Copy, scrape, redistribute, or resell any part of the question bank or app content.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any part of the app or its underlying systems.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any school or institution.
  • Use the app for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

7 Intellectual property

The Passifly app, its design, branding, and question bank are the property of Passifly and its contributors. Your account and any personal study data you generate (like your scores and bookmarks) belong to you, and you can export or delete it as described in our Privacy Policy.

8 Third-party services

Passifly relies on third-party services, including Google Firebase, Google Sign-In, and Paystack, to operate. Your use of features built on these services is also subject to those providers' own terms.

9 Termination

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, or if we discontinue the app, with notice where reasonably possible.

10 Disclaimer of warranties

Passifly is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep the app accurate and running smoothly, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or completely free of inaccuracies, particularly given the app's content is generated with AI assistance and reviewed by a single subject-matter contributor rather than a full editorial board.

11 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Passifly and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including, without limitation, exam results or academic outcomes. Our total liability for any claim relating to Passifly is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

12 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Passifly after a change means you accept the updated terms.
